A Channel Tester I built during lockdown, while the studios were quiet, for fault finding on the SSL J and K 9000 series consoles at Metropolis Recording Studios.

An updated version of the Neve tester, incorporating an onboard oscillator with selectable frequencies & pink noise, and an auto self-test of all channel outputs. The self test compares the input and output signals while audibly cycling through the selected outputs and marks any that fall outside of tolerance

Similar to the Neve tester, it allows for touch screen control of centre section functions. The unit also includes an analogue audio multiplex for routing audio to and from the channel, selectable from the routing window, and a recall test window.
